the superior twin room was comfortable and charming. the staff could not have been nicer. a young man at reception was helpful when i needed an english speaking doctor.
the small garbage can should be automatically emptied every day. It was not.

The location really is perfect. Staff give the hotel a very cute atmosphere. It was quiet and functional. I felt the room was really very clean.
I find the soundproofing inadequate. I could hear all activity outside my door. People from outside also hear into my room so no privacy.

the hotel is close to a train station, easy to reach nara, fushimi inari, arashiyama forest, and kinkaku-ji. i appreciated that the hotel is also near gion street and the city center, providing many options for shopping and dining. the staff kindly took our luggage before check-in and brought it to our room. the twin bed room had a tiny balcony with a view of temples and shrines.
there was no space to even open my suitcase , i had to open it in the corridor. there was also no cupboard to place clothes, and the bathroom felt tiny.

The room was quite small. i had a bit of trouble finding space for my suitcase. It was like a constant game of tetris. also, the lack of daily cleaning was a bit of a surprise. They only cleaned the room twice during my entire stay. i had to ask for fresh towels a few times because there wasn't enough space for them to dry properly. the tiny garbage can should have been emptied daily. It's just a basic thing.

The hotel is located near Gion. The staff were nice and check-in was possible a bit earlier than expected. The bed and bathroom were comfortable and the room provided enough space to store luggage.
The room lacked closet space. Staying for several nights means living out of suitcases. The small garbage can was not emptied daily even though I expected it.
